Comments on revision of the Restrictions Roadmap, December 2023
- CHEM Trust submitted comments on the Commission’s proposed “Update to Restrictions Roadmap”, which was presented at a CARACAL meeting on 16th November 2023, calling for a greater sense of urgency. For more on this roadmap, see our blog on the original ‘Restrictions Roadmap’.
Joint letter to Commissioner Sefcovic, November 2023
- CHEM Trust signed onto a joint NGO letter to Commissioner Sefcovic, calling for deliverance of the commitments made in the 2020 Chemical Strategy for Sustainability within this Commission’s mandate.
- We received a response from the Sefcovic cabinet in March 2024.
Letter to Europe Commission President regarding REACH revision, September 2023
- CHEM Trust wrote to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on 19th September 2023, calling on her to support rapid publication of the REACH revision. We received a reply at the start of December from the relevant Directors in DG Environment and DG Grow, confirming that the REACH revision was very important to the Commission, and work was continuing.
CHEM Trust response to the universal PFAS restriction proposal, September 2023
- CHEM Trust submitted general comments, recommendations and additional supporting evidence in the context of the public consultation on the Annex XV restriction report on the restriction on the manufacture, placing on the market and use of PFASs.
