Environmental Working Group
At EWG, our team of scientists, engineers, policy experts, lawyers and computer programmers pores over government data, legal documents, scientific studies and our own laboratory tests to expose threats to your health and the environment, and to find solutions. Our research brings to light unsettling facts that you have a right to know.
The Endocrine Disruption Exchange TEDX
TEDX’s mission is to prevent damage to individuals from the moment they are conceived through the balance of their lives by chemicals that can alter how their bodies are formed and function. TEDX has recently launch a new tool called Critical Windows of Development which is a unique interactive web page that pairs human development in the womb with laboratory research showing where and when low-dose exposure hormone disrupting chemicals results in altered health outcomes.

Cancer Prevention & Education Society CPES
During our lives, we are unwittingly exposed to thousands of cancer-causing substances – carcinogens. Many of these are man-made, including synthetic chemicals in everyday products and environmental pollutants. We at the Cancer Prevention and Education Society believe it is time to stop this toxic tide. It is not acceptable that one in three of us will get cancer during our lifetimes, a figure expected to rise to one in two by 2020. Use this website to learn more, make your contribution to the action, and help sound the alert on the chemical causes of cancer.
No More Breast Cancer – NMBC
The No More Breast Cancer campaign argues that many cases of breast cancer are linked to cancer-causing agents in the environment and in our bodies.
EU Chemicals Policy – REACH (The European Commission REACH website)
REACH is a new European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. The new law entered into force on 1 June 2007.
The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. At the same time, innovative capability and competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry should be enhanced. The benefits of the REACH system will come gradually, as more and more substances are phased into REACH.

UK Chemicals Stakeholder Forum
This Forum advises the Government on how industry should reduce the risks from hazardous chemicals to the environment and to human health through the environment. CHEM Trust is an active member of the forum which has 21 members drawn from industry, trade unions, consumer groups, the scientific community, anti-vivisection groups, environment and health protection groups, and conservation organisations.
Household Products Database
Ever wondered what’s in the hair spray, toilet bowl cleaner, or other household product you frequently use? The Household Products Database provides an easy way to find the chemical components. Search the database by product, ingredient, or the manufacturers’ Material Safety Data Sheets. Each search provides the contents, health effects, and safety information on a wide range of household products used inwith cars, in homes, on gardensyards, and for personal and pet care. Database information is compiled from labels and company safety sheets.
The Society for Reproduction & Fertility
The Society for Reproduction and Fertility aims to enhance the knowledge of reproductive processes and fertility in man and animals. The Society organises an annual scientific conference, awards travel grants and vacation scholarships to members, and sponsors relevant scientific workshops. The Society’s Journal, Reproduction, publishes original research articles and topical reviews in reproductive biology.
Membership of the Society is open to scientists and students worldwide who work on any aspect of reproductive biology or fertility and provides various benefits including reduced price registration and accommodation at our annual conferences, access to travel grants and sponsorship and reduced price personal subscriptions to Reproduction and other related journals.
