Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are chemicals that can disrupt the functioning of the endocrine (or hormonal) systems of humans or wildlife. EU criteria for Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals: Responsibility moving from DG Environment to DG Health & Consumer Affairs
