CHEM Trust submission on lead shot in ammunition, November 2022
- CHEM Trust input into the public consultation regarding a restriction proposal on lead shot in ammunition launched by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Currently lead shot in ammunition presents a serious, uncontrolled and unacceptable risk to human and wildlife health and CHEM Trust supports further regulatory action in this area.
CHEM Trust submission on tattoo inks and permanent make up, November 2022
- CHEM Trust input into the public consultation the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) held on a restriction proposal on substances in tattoo inks and permanent make up. HSE proposed a restriction on hazardous substances present in tattoo inks and PMU as a precautionary measure to address potential risks to human health. There is currently no legislation in Great Britain that addresses the risks presented by insertion into the skin of these substances.
